The young learners from Early Years and Key Stage 1 recently
embarked on an enriching trip to the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Centre,
where they had the opportunity to explore a variety of museums and engage
deeply with history, science, fine arts and culture.
The day began with a guided tour of the History Museum, where children were introduced to fascinating exhibits showcasing
the development of local, international transport and important historical
events. The interactive displays and life-sized models captured their
imagination, sparking curiosity and lively discussions.
Next, they visited the rain forest that presented different animals
in the different layers of the rain
forest observing water habitats with its different sea creatures, including
sharks, and experienced coral reefs. Exploring these habitats is like going on
an exciting adventure in nature’s most magical homes!
The group also spent time at the Science museum, where children were given the opportunity to explore high tech
equipment used in fitness training and sports.
Throughout the trip, children were encouraged to ask questions,
reflect on what they saw, and share their observations. Teachers and museum
staff provided insights, helping students make connections between their
learning and the world around them.
Overall, the trip was a memorable and educational experience,
fostering a greater appreciation for culture, creativity, and discovery. It was
a day of exploration, learning, and inspiration that left a lasting impression
