Person Specification

 

Qualifications and Education:

 

Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education or in a relevant subject area.

Possesses Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Professional Experience:

Demonstrated experience in delivering the British National Curriculum or a similar curriculum.

 

Teaching and Curriculum Knowledge:

 

Strong pedagogical skills, with proven ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging and effective lessons tailored to students' diverse needs.

Understanding of differentiation and inclusive practices to support a wide range of student abilities and learning styles.

Competence in utilizing educational technology to enhance learning, with experience in virtual or blended learning environments as a plus.

 

Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity:

 

Appreciation and respect for cultural diversity, with a commitment to fostering a culturally inclusive classroom environment.

Sensitivity to the cultural context of the Middle East, with a willingness to engage in and understand local customs and practices.

Adaptable and open-minded, with the ability to thrive in a new and diverse environment.

 

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

Fluent English speaker, with any additional languages (particularly Arabic) as a plus.

Safeguarding

 

Prospective candidates should submit the details of at least three previous employers as referees which must be their two most recent employers, covering a minimum of four years of employment, or all of their employment if the candidate has less than four years of experience.

If a candidate has only one previous employer, two references can be provided from the same employer.

IT Technician – Helpdesk & Classroom Support

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and dependable IT Technician to provide hands-on helpdesk support to educators across our school network. In this role, you will be the go-to person for resolving IT issues that affect classroom learning — from network problems and software errors to hardware troubleshooting on interactive displays.
This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a school environment, enjoys helping others, and has a solid foundation in Windows systems, Microsoft 365, and classroom technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide frontline technical support to teachers and staff, ensuring minimal disruption during classes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with:
    • Network connectivity in classrooms
    • Windows systems and applications
    • Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
    • Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs) – including connectivity and functionality problems
  • Assist teachers with logging in to school platforms and learning software (e.g., HUBmis,3sys,  Atlas, Papercut,  educational apps)
  • Support software installations, updates, and configurations on classroom devices
  • Maintain accurate records of support tickets and resolutions
  • Collaborate with the wider IT team on school-wide system maintenance and upgrades
  • Provide guidance and basic training to staff when needed

Skills & Experience Required:
Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applications
Experience troubleshooting network and internet connectivity issues
Familiarity with Interactive Flat Panels (e.g., Viewsonic,NewLine, MaxHub)
Basic understanding of Windows-based educational software platforms
Ability to assist users with login procedures, account issues, and basic system navigation
Good knowledge of Active Directory and user account management
Clear and patient communication skills – especially when working with non-technical users
Strong organizational and time management abilities

Desirable (But Not Essential):
• Experience working in an educational or school environment
• Understanding of school-specific software (e.g., Google Classroom, Canvas, PowerSchool, ClassDojo)
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or equivalent

Content Creator / Digital Marketer

KNES is looking for a qualified individual to support the promotional and marketing efforts of the school. The successful candidate will have educational and professional experince in order to:

Produce and deliver digital content, including photos (photography), videos, social media posts, website, and marketing materials.

Candidate must be fluent in English and Arabic to create in both languages. 

UK Trained Primary Teacher

Kuwait National English School is an accredited British School providing the UK Curriculum for England.

We require for September 2025 a Native English Speaking teacher for the Primary Deparment. This position is for immediate start.
