Visit Al Shamiya Nature Reserve
We are thrilled to announce that the Year 1A and Year 6A
students from Kuwait National English School have successfully won the school
library reading challenge! As a reward for their hard work and dedication to
reading, these enthusiastic students embarked on an educational trip to the Al
Shamiya Nature Reserve in Shamiya, Kuwait.
During their visit, students had the opportunity to immerse
themselves in nature and learn about various aspects of the environment. The
trip included informative sessions on local plants, ecosystems, and innovative
agricultural techniques such as hydroponics. This hands-on experience allowed
students to connect theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom with
real-world applications.
The excitement was palpable as students explored the reserve,
engaged with knowledgeable guides, and participated in interactive activities
designed to deepen their understanding of environmental science. Many students
expressed their enjoyment of the experience, highlighting how it inspired them
to appreciate nature and consider its importance in our lives.
Overall, this trip not only rewarded our young readers but
also fostered a greater appreciation for nature among them. We look forward to
more such initiatives that encourage learning beyond the classroom.
