Senior Overseas Trip to Europe
Kuwait National English School recently organized an exciting
overseas educational trip for our students to Amsterdam, Cologne, and Frankfurt
from the 21st to the 28th of February 2025.This trip was a wonderful
opportunity for students to learn about history, culture, architecture, and
industry while exploring some of the most famous sites in Europe.
The journey began in Amsterdam, a city known for its
beautiful canals, historic buildings, and vibrant culture. Students had the
chance to explore the city’s unique architecture, visit famous landmarks, and
experience Dutch traditions. A highlight of our time in Amsterdam was the visit
to Henri Willig, a well-known cheese farm. Here, students learned how
traditional Dutch cheese is made and enjoyed a delicious cheese-tasting
session. This hands-on experience helped them understand the importance of
dairy farming in the Netherlands and appreciate different flavours of cheese.
Students had a panoramic view of Amsterdam from the A'DAM lookout swing at 100
meters on top of Adam Tower.
From Amsterdam, students travelled to Cologne, Germany, where
we visited the breathtaking Cologne Cathedral. This iconic Gothic cathedral is
one of the tallest churches in the world and took over 600 years to complete.
Students were amazed by the stunning stained-glass windows, detailed carvings,
and impressive towers. They also learned about the history of the cathedral and
its importance to the people of Cologne. This visit helped them appreciate
European architecture and the dedication required to build such a magnificent
structure.
Next, was a visit to the famous Lindt Chocolate Factory,
where students discovered the secrets of chocolate-making. They saw how cocoa
beans are transformed into delicious chocolate bars and learned about the
different stages of production. The best part of this visit was, of course, the
chance to taste fresh chocolate! Students enjoyed sampling different flavours
and even got to take some chocolates home as
One of the most exciting parts of the trip was the visit to
the Mercedes-Benz Factory in Stuttgart. Here, students saw how some of the
world’s most advanced cars are made. They watched as robots and skilled workers
assembled different parts of the cars, from the engines to the finishing
touches. This visit provided valuable insights into modern production
techniques, engineering, and innovation. It was an eye-opening experience for
students interested in technology and manufacturing.
Throughout the trip, students not only visited famous
landmarks but also experienced different cultures. They interacted with local
people, tasted traditional foods, and saw the differences between life in
Kuwait and Europe. This exposure to new cultures broadened their understanding
of the world and encouraged them to appreciate
The overseas educational trip to Amsterdam, Cologne, and
Frankfurt was an unforgettable experience for our students. It combined
learning with adventure, giving them knowledge about architecture, culture,
chocolate-making, and car production. More importantly, it helped them develop
independence, teamwork, and a love for exploring new places.
We look forward to organizing more such enriching trips in
the future!
