Key Stage 1 Career Day
On 12 February 2025, the school hosted the Careers dress-up
day for KS1 students. Four speakers, Dr
Osama (Neurologist), Ms Hiba (Communications Specialist), Ms Farah (Lawyer) and
Mr Mohsen (Financial Manager) addressed the children in their respective
fields. The children were thrilled by
the interactive presentations. They liked
responding and posing questions. They
witnessed the way the brain works, and why it is important to pay attention to
certain body malfunctions that implicate the brain functioning. In a similar fashion, they saw how an easy
communication breakdown can slip in by doing a simple communication
experiment. The nonverbal communication
was definitely a takeaway for them and were astounded by facial and body expressions.
A large number flocked to the financial desk to find out more about money
issues on how to make more money. The
lawyer expressed her best wishes to all the children irrespective of what
career path they chose. She shared
valuable insights into what kind of cases they handle daily. She was amused upon having to respond to the
question “what a lawyer looks like inside”.
The student gained valuable knowledge and insights into these four
career paths.
