Key Stage 2 & 3 Trip to the Lego Robotics Show
Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 Students had an amazing day this
week at the Lego and Robotics show at the International Fairground in Mishref.
STEM learning, Coding and Robotics is part of the Primary Computer Science Curriculum.
Pupils had hands on experience of engaging in using Lego to create Robots and
other objects by applying prior knowledge gained from their Computer Science
lessons.
There were many different Lego activities that they could get
involved with. One was to build structures in white Lego pieces that would
become part of a Lego city. The children also learnt how to operate a manual
mechanical excavator and move sand around. Some of the boys enjoyed racing
against a virtual Lego character on a short running track.
