Dear Secondary Parents,

Introduction: As we approach the end of this academic year (2022/2023), I am delighted by everything we have achieved. We are all thrilled that the year has been so successful. I am so impressed by the maturity and work ethic shown by our students.

Some of the activities during 2022/2023:  Reflecting on the past school year, we have had so many great memories and exciting events to look back on. We continued many successful traditions such as standardized Progress Tests (GL Assessment), various educational field trips inside and outside of Kuwait, Job Shadows, Celebrations, extra-curricular activities/training for our students, UK Universities visiting KNES, academic challenges, themes assemblies, successful sporting activities, inspections and reaccreditation, etc. We also added many new experiences which we will continue and make new traditions such as STEM challenges, Robotic Fair etc. I am very proud of everyone who took part in making this such a remarkable and successful academic year.

Examinations: Year 11 & 12 Examinations from the Ministry are scheduled as follows:

Ministry Arabic Examination:        Date: Sunday June 18, 2023           Time: 5:00pm– 8:15 pm

Ministry Islamic Examination:       Date: Monday June 19, 2023         Time: 5:00 pm – 6:45 pm

Ministry Quran Examination:        Date: Tuesday June 20, 2023         Time: 5:00 pm – 6:45 pm

Result day for external examinations from the UK: I am also incredibly proud of our Year 11, 12 and 13 students and the focus and determination they have shown over the course of this academic year and during their External examination from the UK. External examinations will end on the 16th of June 2023 and they can enjoy a relaxing summer holiday whilst awaiting their results. I wish the best for them all.  The entire staff body and I are looking forward to the results in August so we can see these young people achieve the grades they truly deserve for all their efforts. The release of results are:

Cambridge [International AS & A Level – August 10, 2023]  [IGCSE – August 16, 2023],

Pearson/Edexcel {IAS & IAL-  August 17, 2023}  {IGCSE - August 24, 2023}.

KNES Third Term Examinations:  Our internal third term examinations will start on Wednesday May 31, 2023 and end on Thursday June 08, 2023. Results will be available on our school portal on Wednesday June 14, 2023.

Welcoming our new Year 7 students in the secondary department in September 2023: We are all looking forward to welcoming our new Year 7 students to the secondary department. This is a valuable time to help these young students to smoothly adjust to Key Stage 3.

Academic Year 2023/2024: Planning is well underway for the next academic year (2023/2024). Following the Summer break, the first teaching day for the new academic year 2023/2024 starts on Sunday September 03, 2023.

Reregistration for the next academic year 2023/2024:

If you have not already reregistered, please reregister your child for the next academic year 2023/2024.

CIS/NEASC/BSO/COBIS Reaccreditations: I hope you will all join us in celebrating our truly wonderful reaccreditation reports. KNES has been reaccredited by these boards.  

Summer Information:

Ø Check our website, and Instagram regularly for updates throughout the summer.

Ø Furthermore, the reception, Uniform shop and accountant will be working on a modified schedule.
