(PTM) Progress Testing in Maths 2022-2023
The students at KNES are currently
undergoing their annual assessments. Assessments take many forms such as both
Formative and Summative Assessments.
An important type of assessment
is the “Progress Testing” to measure how students are performing- students by
students, class by class and year by year.
The recently held PTM tests, assess
students’ mathematical skills and knowledge, helping us to understand current
levels of attainment and identify any gaps in learning at both an individual
and cohort level.
The recent PTM, assesses two
dimensions of maths learning:
content knowledge (curriculum category)
and applying mathematical processes (process category)
Detailed reports for teachers
analyse key dimensions of learning and provide a question-by-question breakdown
to help identify those students who may need extra support, and in which areas.
