Re: Secondary Department - Third Term Examination (June 2023 session)

Dear Secondary Parents,

This letter contains important information about the Third Term Examination in the Secondary Department.

The Third Term Examinations for the secondary department will start on Thursday June 01, 2023 (or Wednesday May 31, 2023) and will end on Thursday June 08, 2023. A copy of the examination timetable is attached to this letter. During the examination season, the timing of the examination session will be as follows:

Registration:                        7:15 am – 7:30 am

Period 1                    7:30 am – 8:15 am (normal time tabled lesson)

Examination [Session I]:  8:15 am – 10:30 am (2 hours)

Break:                                    10:30 am – 10:55 am

Examination [Session II]:            10:55 am – 12:55 pm (2 hours)

Break:                                    12:55 pm – 1:20 pm

Period 8                    1:20 pm – 2:00 pm (normal time tabled lesson)

Information for Secondary pupils writing the Third Term Examination (June 2023 Session):

Ø  Contingency plan: If the Ministry of Education decides to cancel schools on the 6^th of June 2023. Examinations scheduled for Tuesday June 06, 2023 will take place on Wednesday May 31, 2023. 

Ø  Check your examination time table and know the dates of all your exams.  It is your responsibility to attend in your full summer uniform.

Ø  You must not take into the exam room: notes; potential technological/web enabled sources of information such as an iPod, a mobile phone, MP3/4 player, a smartwatch or a wrist watch.

Ø  Do not borrow anything from another candidate during the exam. Do not talk to or try to communicate with, or disturb other candidates once the exam has started. If you try to cheat, or break the rules in any way, or involved in any unfair or dishonest practice during the exam, you will be disqualified from the examination.

Ø  Only take into the exam room the pens, pencils, erasers and any other equipment which you need for the exam. You must write clearly and in blue or black ink.

Ø  You must be under the supervision of your teacher during the whole examination session. (You are not allowed to leave earlier).

Ø  Read carefully and follow the instructions printed on the question paper.

Ø  At the end of the examination session, submit your script to the teacher supervising the exams. 

Ø  Do not leave the exam room until told to do so by the teacher.

Ø  Release of Third Term Examination results: On Wednesday the 14 ^th of June 2023, Third Term results will be available on our school portal to parents/students.
