STEM Presentation by Dr Bassam Shuhaibar from KISR

Dr Bassam Shuhaibar from Kuwait institute for
Scientific Research (KISR) came to KNES to do a workshop with students in Key
stage 2 (Years 3 to 6) and KS3 (Years 7 to 9). This was a workshop to give an
insight the work he does as marine engineer and the direct impact his work has
on the everyday lives of people living in Kuwait.
This was a talk to encourage students to pursue a
career in Science and inspire them to overcome obstacles. The importance of
Arts was also highlighted, in particular for students that are planning to do
engineering. Overall, it was an amazing lecture from Dr Bassam (also known as
Dr Buzz) who spoke to students at KNES with a mission to make students
passionate about Science.
