Re: First term Reports (December 2021) and December Holiday (December 19, 2021 – January 03, 2022)

Dear Parents,

Can you believe it is already December? I am sure you are looking forward to the Holiday Season and spending time with your family. As we wind down the first term of this academic year, December will be a busy month and there are many exciting things going on at Kuwait National English School. I continue to be deeply impressed by the dedication and commitment you have shown under these challenging circumstances. Since the reopening of school on the 26^th of September, and all our pupils returned to in-person teaching, we have been working closely with our teachers to reduce the impact of COVID-19 and to make sure that the quality of the education that we provide, remains consistent. Our teachers continuously strive to provide your children with engaging and meaningful activities/lessons each day. At the same time, inspectors from the Ministry of Health constantly come to inspect the school to guarantee your child/children’s safety. Communication is essential; we encourage you to visit our website, read our weekly newsletter and follow us on Instagram for announcements and celebrations.

December 2021 Examination/Assessment update:

EYFS and the Primary departments will carry on with continuous assessment.

Year 7 to 10 students have obtained their First Term Examination Time Table. Teachers are busy guiding them in the preparation for these formal tests. Our Year 11 and 12 students will be doing their mock examinations in December. The mock exams will demonstrate that they are in a good position to go on to be very successful in their external examinations from the UK. Despite having had such great disruption to their education during the past 18 months, we are so impressed by their resilience and determination to succeed in the face of the current challenges to their education, they are excellent role models for our wider community!

First term Report: First term report will be sent to parents/students on the 13^th of January 2022.

December holiday (December 19, 2021 – January 03, 2022):

Our holiday break is from Sunday December 19, 2021 – Monday January 03, 2022. We look forward to seeing students back on Tuesday, January 04, 2022.
