Ramadan April 13th, 2021
Dear Parents and Students
We are at the Holy month of Ramadan and we would
like to inform you about the new timings without affecting the education of
your child.
I have sent last week an email to upper secondary students
involved in IGCSE informing them about the official cancellation of seating and
oral examination from Cambridge Exam. I am glad the Examining Board after
several claims from our side have listened to us and came to a logical, wise
and safe decision. Students will be awarded the IGCSE based on teacher assessments.
We are requested to submit the grades to Cambridge International between
mid-May and mid-June and the school has to provide details of internal quality
assurance of the process. This means that the students in KS4 and KS5 are not
on holiday and should focus more than ever on their studies, attend lessons
online and do all the assignments given by their teachers. Like all other
students in the school, they will have to work also in order to get their third
term report which is necessary when a transcript is required by the Ministry of
Education when applying to universities.
