Information for Secondary Pupils and Parents
Dear Secondary Parents/Guardian,
Re: Notable second term events in the Secondary Department at Kuwait National English School
As you are all very much aware, the new variant of the coronavirus has led to rapidly escalating case numbers worldwide and I am very concerned about the rapid spread of the virus and possible impact it will have. I know that this is a very sad and anxious time for us all, as we all want our children to be in school.
Teaching and Learning: Kuwait National English School has been opened to staff every day since August 2020. We are teaching our students online using Microsoft education. Your child has had on-line synchronous classes since the beginning of this academic year. We appreciate how challenging the Covid-19 crisis has been for families, and particularly students. Please rest assured that we are working hard to support all students and parents in our school community as the pandemic evolves. My advice is that students continue to get up early each morning and connect with their learning according to their school timetable. It is also important to ensure students cater for their personal wellbeing by regularly exercising and taking breaks from schoolwork and study as part of their daily routine while schools are closed for them.
External Examinations from the United Kingdom: Kuwait National English School is a centre for external examination from the UK. All our students have been formally registered for the external examinations. Students facing examinations are asked to maintain their focus and to keep working in preparation for the exams. More information will be available in time. The boards are making every effort to support all students through this challenging time.

learning that we can under these very challenging circumstances. However, we
