Re: Happy New Year 2024, Secondary Graduation, UK Mathematics Challenge, External Examinations & Key Dates. 

Dear Secondary parents,

Happy New Year and welcome back! I wish you and your families health and prosperity. As a parent and life-long educator, I believe that every young person is filled with brilliance, promise, and gifts. All our staff are very enthusiastic and excited about teaching your child. They have set-up their classrooms and developed the teaching and learning program for their students. I encourage you to take an active role in your child’s learning as parent involvement plays a critical role in your child’s development.

So that your child is fully prepared for the start of the new term and is successful, I would like to draw your attention to the following:

o   Attendance & Punctuality: All students must attend school regularly and on time for all their lessons.

o   School uniform:  Please ensure that your child arrives at school in full and correct school uniform. Our school’s uniform assists in building our school identity; contributes to student safety, comfort and well-being and promotes team spirit and dress standards. All students must wear the approved winter uniform. Students in incorrect uniform will be sent home. 

Our expectations for formal dress code for our sixth form students remains the same.

o   Secondary Graduation: Thursday 30^th May 2024

External Examination registration June 2024 session (Cambridge & Edexcel/Pearson) - (January 08 – 29, 2024):

Kuwait National English School is an accredited examinations centre for Pearson/Edexcel and Cambridge examinations. We accept registrations only from our current students.

The registrations window for the June 2024 exams session is from the 8^th of January 2024 to the 23^th of January 2024. Entries made after this time will incur late penalty fees as set up by the Exams boards.

United Kingdom Mathematics Challenge - (January 31, 2024):

Selected students from our Year 10, 11 & 12 will be taking part in the United Kingdom Mathematics Challenge on Wednesday January 31, 2024. The challenge encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and fluency to make student think.
