The young children of Kuwait National English School had a special event day this week to engage more with the curriculum and make it more integral to their understanding. The children were encouraged to come to school as one of their favourite Monster Phonics characters. With Monster Phonics the children have been learning to associate a variety of phonetic sounds with creatures of different colours and shapes.

Monster Phonics is easy to learn and remember. Monster Phonics helps children to learn and recall spellings by using colour. Each sound and colour is also represented by a monster that makes that sound (a sound cue). This brings phonics to life and makes Monster Phonics highly engaging.

We were very pleased to see the children engaged and identifying sounds and phonetic cues through the visual aids of the Monsters.
