The United Nations Human Settlements Programme invited students from Kuwait National English School to participate at the "Public Space for Peace" International Food Tasting Bazaar at the Boulevard Park. The students were invited by the UN-Habitat and the Boulevard Park to take part in the Sustainable Design Art Drawing Competition “My Future Public Space Model”.
Students Art Design was displayed at the Boulevard International Culture & Food Day Bazaar on March 15th & 16th. The celebration of ten years of UN Habitat in Kuwait was organised under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Students participation in the Sustainable Art & Design Drawing Competition was aimed to boost youth’s engagement in developing the future cities they want and need. They were engaged about how youths would like to design and improve their districts park by making it more livable and engaging by adding any sustainable elements in the designs of what they want and need in drawing. The “My Future Public Space Model” will aim to help guide city developers and UN-Habitat’s experts to better understanding youth’s behavioral thinking in what they prioritize during their daily living activities. Providing us a glimpse of how to inspire future city designs around Kuwait districts and across the world by feeding our global public space initiative
